At first this seems an unlikely pairing: Finzer, a classically-trained flutist recording in the new age genre, and City of Dawn, known primarily for his dense, synth-based drone music with white-noise ambient artist, Zaké. But listening to this album, my response is: of course! Finzer’s famously-ethereal, drifting flute lines are a perfect complement to City of Dawn’s gentle atmospherics.
